OUR HISTORY
The Mori family has ancient roots in Lumezzane. Lumezzane, a region with deep industrial roots specializing in metalworking, is one of the largest and most industrious towns in the province of Brescia, a city recently ranked among the most industrialized areas in Europe.
D&D has been a business for over fifty years. It was Mori’s father, Bernardo Mori, who began this business after the war as a subcontractor, forger, and polisher of stainless steel cutlery. However, it was in the early 1980s that the Mori brothers recognized the opportunity to launch their own production, initially producing stainless steel cutlery and, a few years later, cutlery with colored resin handles.
The Mori family’s success came very quickly, allowing them to quickly establish themselves on both the Italian and international markets.
In 2000, the Mori family decided to introduce a new brand, D&D – DOMUS&DESIGN, designed from the outset to stand out for its refined, high-quality products.
This characteristic is also evident in the decision to not be present everywhere, but only in high-profile stores and select locations, both in Italy and abroad.
Since 2006, Elio Mori, along with his sons Cristian and Francesco, have successfully continued the development and growth of the D&D brand. It is their son Cristian who has taken the reins of the company and contributed to the brand’s growth, increasingly pushing it into international markets.
